Update 5/4:
It is just days
away...2008 kick-off tug is upon us! This Saturday, May 10th, KTT
will host our first tug of the season in Lawrenceburg, at the Anderson
County Park on US 127. Tug order will be 4000/5500/6000/Stock/FFA Class
beginning at 6pm. The proceeds from this tug will go to the FFA
club in Lburg to help pay for their state convention and some other
events. Please come out and have some fun and help the kids!
KTT Officers have chosen to make a couple of changes to our rules:
1) If you choose
not to pull for points, you can pay a $30 entry fee at each event
(instead of $25). If at any point, you decide to race for the
points fund, you can then pay the membership fee of $50.00.
Non-members will receive 0 points per event and will not interfere with
our members points system.
2) To become a
member of the club, you must abide by all KTT rules. If you do not
become a member, the KTT officers must still inspect your truck and make
the decision if it is legal to pull or not. They will have the
final say on what is ok and what is not. The main goal being to
keep everyone safe.
3) All other rules
will remain unchanged.
Update 2/2:
*We would
like to thank everyone who attended our first meeting. We had a
lot of input which we appreciate. A finalized copy of the rules
will be sent out along with our first newsletter and schedule in a few
weeks.
*We will
have Truck Day
in Taylorsville this year. It will be on April 26th from 2pm until
we are done. Everyone who brings their truck for inspection plus
pays their membership fee ($50 per truck) will receive
20 points.
*We have
a new Vice President this year - Big Mike Chesser. Also,
new Class Chairman for the 4000 lb class - Craig Glacken,
for the 6000 lb class - Justin Jones and new Club Chairman - Eddie
Wiley. Larry Lewis remains the Class Chairman for the 2wd class.
Please talk with these guys and give them your input.
*All
decisions made on the track this year will be made between the Line
Judge for that class and the Class Chairman - the other officers will
only be involved when those 2 cannot agree on a decision.
*We are
always looking for ways to improve our club and our season. So our
point system for 2008 has been updated as follows:
1st place - 10 pts, 2nd place -
8 pts, 3rd place - 7 pts, 4th place - 6 pts, 5th place - 5 pts, and all
others entered - 4 pts.
**New this year - if you are a bubble buster - you will receive 2
additional pts. Also, if you win back to back events (same class -
same truck) - you will receive 2 additional pts.
